Update: The $114 Kindle for sale on Amazon.com is also at sale for $114 at Target stores — call your local Target store first to make sure they’re still in stock for $114 before you head out — but they aren’t for sale on Target.com for $114.
Here’s a copy of Target’s circular ad that says prices are good from May 1 – 7, 2011:

Now that the prices of the Kindle has dropped to $114, people will be asking Google more than ever: Where to buy Kindle?, like Google says 12,100 searches already ask each month.
While people who type stuff like buy tuff luv Kindle 2 case into Google obviously already own one, there are still a plethora of people who don’t.
Where can you buy a kindle? Amazon is probably your best best…
That’s what I’d advise the over 12,000 people typing in “where to buy Kindle” each month typing in some variation of “Where can i buy a Kindle?” or “Kindle where to buy?”
Of course, affiliate links like these that point buying customers to the newly $114 priced Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6″ Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology – includes Special Offers & Sponsored Screensavers earn me commission on each sale, along with any other products purchased via my links and cookie sessions for 24 hours as a part of Amazon’s associate program.
But I only urge people to buy a Kindle through Amazon because that’s where I bought mine, and I was still under my Amazon Prime free trial membership, so I was able to get 2-day shipping for free.
Where can I buy a kindle in a store?
It’s interesting to see that about 3,000 or so people each month ask “Where to buy a kindle in a store” or “buy kindle in store” each month, seeking out stores that sell the Kindle.
Perhaps they are eager, like me sometimes, and don’t want to try my Amazon Prime free trial membership trick (I canceled it before I had to pay anything) or maybe they’ve already tried it and don’t want to wait for shipping, or want to know stores that sell the Kindle because they don’t trust buying online.
Those folks might want to call their local Target stores, because that’s where my friend told me she saw them for sale. So people who want to know the stores that sell Kindles, call Target first, then try Walmart and other places — but know that Barnes & Noble will be pumping their Nook, not the Kindle.
Where to buy the $114 Kindle?
That puppy will be released on May 3, 2011, but can be pre-ordered now. Don’t know when or if Target or other stores will carry the $114 Kindle at all, but I’ll bet you Amazon is first.
As for the 500 or so searches for “Where to buy kindle 3?” per month? Here is what a search of Kindle 3 returns on Amazon…
